half of september

So.  Classes began on September 1.  Some 27 days later we have some catching up to do.

Blue got to hang out with some Andy Warhol prints at a reception at the Spartanburg County Library.

I sorta spied on people who were talking about one of my drawings at the reception.

Art superstar Jim Shore had his first ever career retrospective exhibit in our gallery at Lander.  The exhibit displayed over 800 drawings and about a million sculptures.  This was a very big deal for us and for him.

The sculptureheads have gathered for another semester of power tools and fun.

And when the sculptureheads are around you never know what you're going to see.

We took a spur of the moment trip to The Bechtler Museum of Modern Art in Charlotte.

The kids loved seeing the tall buildings.

Blue got to see a few more Andy Warhols.

And we all got to see a lot of cool artwork.

There's the family with Niki de Saint Phalle's Firebird sculpture.

We finished up the day with a trip to Ikea and a stop at Cracker Barrel
